Idea For Our Tv Advert

MOOD BOARD

This is the mood board for our fashion advert and it shows the current fashion icons and brands which are out on the market. our fashion advert consists of casual and casual/formal fashion choices and the mood board shows this.

Logo

This is our logo for our fashion brand and this shows that we went through a range of ideas for our logo and we wanted to choose the one which represented our media brand the best and overall we though that this logo does this the best and shows what our brand is about.

Brand Name
The brand name which we chose was Shuffle because our fashion brand is for the teenagers and people in their twenties, we thought that the word shuffle is one which they are familiar with and we took advantage of that and chose our brand name as Shuffle.

Bank Fashion

This website is about fashion and the latest trends of clothing, we are going to look at the products and the fashion brand which they sell and we are going to look at these and get ideas and inspiration for our TV advert. They have used bright colours and fashion trends for teenagers which would attract their target audience and this would also mean that the teenagers would be attracted to their fashion brands and they would want to shop at BANK.

Analysing Adverts- Ralph Lauren

The advert is mainly aimed at women but the advert has both men and women in the advert and they are all wearing ralph lauren to show their line of clothing and the advert also shows the people wearing luxury brands and using luxury branded sports cars to show that they are quite rich. The advert is cleverly done because it advertises the perfume and the ralph lauren line of clothing. The advert has the same amount of men as the women wearing ralph lauren clothing which shows that men will also be intersted in the advert aswell the women but the actual perfume which the advert is for is aimed at women. They have made the advert almost 2 in 1 to make sure that it is for both types of audience. Advert is set in a nice summer day and they have used beautiful people in the advert to show a wealthy lifestyle. The people in the advert are playing polo which is accociated as a rich people's sport and they have done this to show that when you buy ralph lauren, your paying for the lifestyle and not just the clothing.

Adidas

The adidas advert shows a bunch of people playing american football and they are trying to portray that they their brand is tough and is only for men and they have done the advert in a manly manner to show that the product which is being advertised is only for men rather then a unisex product. They have made the advert in a manly manner to show that the product is manly. The advertisement is about a sports brand adidas which is very popular for sporting needs and they have used this advertisement to show this. The music which has been used in the advert is sort of sad music and they have done this sympathise with their audience and they have shown how and what adidas stands for.

Seasonality

Seasonality

In this blog i am investigating what types of adverts do you see you see throughout the year because they vary signifially through out the year.

The figures are the highest in december because of christmas. The amount of television which people watch on average in a day is 3:43 Mins.

January-  The viewing figures are low in January and is the cheapest time of the year to advertise.

February- In February the adverts are mostly about valentines day and gifts for valentines day items such as perfumes and chocolates.

March-April- In this time of the year there are easter adverts on the television and this is a good time for advertising because the viewing figures in this year are decent.

May- Average figures

June/July/August- Summer clothing and items are advertised in this year there are also ice cream adverts which attract the people to go out and buy these items at this time of year.

September/October- Back to school items and clothing is advertised at this time of year.

November- The adverts for christmas items start as the viewing figures at this time of year increase as people would want to buy presents at this time of year.

Valentines Day
On valentines day there are alot of perfume adverts which influence the audience to buy valentines day presents which would include chocolates and perfumes and they have made sure that around February time theres adverts which advertise perfumes and chocolates.

Purpose of advertisements

the purpose of adverts is to promote a company or a product in a certain way to get the attention of its viewers and get the viewers to engage with the advert, this also helps the business promote a catchphrase. Adverts importance was organised in the following order:

  • Advertising draws attention to product and service.
  • Advertising helps business make profit.
  • there are 20,000 jobs in the advertising industry.
  • Advertising keeps consumers up-to-date with new development.

Can Advertisments say what they want

Point of Advertising

The point of advertsing is to get people introduced to a product which might be a new product or a product which needs promoting and this is done through advertisments. Advertising helps the businesses by increasing their sales figures by alot by fimilarising the viewers of the advert with that new product. There are 70,000 jobs in the advertising industry and these are most likely to increase with the growing demands of adverts. Advertising also makes us loyal to certain brands for example if there is a brand that the customer trusts and uses then if the customer would want to go out and buy the latest product which that brand has released and this would make that customer loyal to that brand because it would make that customer loyal to that brand. Advertising also tells customers how much a product costs and if the product is suitable for their needs. Adverts cannot compare their brand or their product with a similar product in the same field becuase this can result that advert getting banned or the other brand sueing them. Advertising also makes you aware of different brands which the customers might not know about and after watching the adverts, the customers would know of those brands.

Most of the adverts would try and protray a perfect white family to show their viewers that the when or if they use their products then their familys would seem like the perfect family aswell and they would want that and thats the reason which the people might want to buy their product.

1930's Smoking Advert

The smoking advert suggests that smoking their cigeretts would mean that it would be safe for their throat to smoke their ciggeretts rather then the normal cigerettes because it wouldnt do them any harm. The smoking advert also protrays that the lady on the advert has a quite a weathy lifestyle because she is playing tennis and that she is smoking cigeretts. The advert is misleading because of that because the statistics clearly prove them wrong.

Malteasers Advert

The malteasers advert suggests that if you eat malteasers then you would get slimmer which is clearly incorrect. This would be false advertising and this would mean that they are advertising their product by giving out false and incorrect information to their potential customers and this would mean that the results of this would be incorrect and this would mean that the people would complain about this.

Adverts cannot say what they want because the adverts have to meet the rules and regulations of the ASA. The example of this would be the adverts which have been banned for not meeting those regulations and rules for example, this IKEA advert which has been banned by the ASA for not being suitable for its viewing audience. ASA helps keep the adverts which are offensive or inapporiate off the television and this keeps the audience safer and helps make the TV safer.
